China approves list of Russian grain exporters, storages

MOSCOW, Oct 7 (PRIME) -- China has approved a list of Russian wheat, corn, rice, soy and rapeseed exporters and grain storage facilities, Russia’s Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Oversight said in a statement Friday.

According to the document, China allowed imports from about 200 companies from the Omsk, Irkutsk, Novosibirsk, Amur, Sakhalin, Kemerovo, Zabaikalsky, Khabarovsk, Krasnoyarsk, and Primorsky regions and from the Jewish Autonomous District.

China is the world’s largest grain importer. In December 2015, after several years of work, the Russian service and the Chinese national service in charge of national quality, metrology, inspection and quarantine AQSIQ signed protocols on phytosanitary requirements to Russian wheat, corn, rice, soy and rape exports
